Chesterfield Mindfulness May: Mindfulness Walk
23/05/2021 @ 10:00 am – 12:30 pm
Unwind, de-stress and reconnect with a forest bathing session outdoors in beautiful Tapton Woodland in Chesterfield as part of Chesterfield Borough Council’s Mindful May.
How often do you go for a walk and find your feet are moving but your mind has drifted to thinking about work, family and stresses in your daily life? How often do you feel like you’re not really connecting to the world around you when your outside?
Join us for a guided mindful walk to switch off and ground yourself in the present whilst appreciating the world around you.
Being outdoors is more than just exploring new places and looking after your physical health. The outdoors is well known to be a great place to improve your mental wellbeing too.
Mindfulness is the practice of meditating to be in the present moment and meditating outside is an easy way to disconnect from life pressures and centre yourself here and now.
The woodland is behind Tapton House, which was the home of George Stephenson, and is now part of Chesterfield College. There’s good parking, public toilets and reasonable access.
There will be 2 taster walks held 10am – 11am and 11.30am-12.30pm.
