Walk With Purpose: A Journey of Mindfulness for a cause

September 9 @ 5:30 pm 6:30 pm

How often do you go for a walk and find your feet are moving but your mind has drifted to thinking about work, family and stresses in your daily life?

How often do you feel like you’re not really connecting to the world around you when your outside?

Join us for a guided mindful walk to learn to switch off and ground yourself in the present whilst appreciating the world around you.

Emily is both a mental health first aider and also a Mindfulness Instructor so these sessions are both a structured walk and a supportive environment.

What is mindful walking?

Mindful walking is a form of mindful movement. It uses the everyday activity of walking as a mindfulness practice to help you become more aware of the sensations in your body. By tuning into your environment and the sensations in your body as you walk, it can help you to focus on the present moment. Some people like to think of it as meditation in motion!

Our mindful walks are around 3 miles around the beautiful Colne Valley and we undertake mindfulness practice as part of the workshop.

Bring boots as sections of the walk might be muddy, especially after rain.

If you have accessibility needs let me know as it’s important to us that everyone can participant and we can certainly adapt walk routes.

Why we’re running these events

Tinkadventures is passionate about ensuring everyone has good mental health.

We’re running these mindful walks as a fundraiser for two charities close to our hearts – Men in Sheds UK and Andys Man Club – both working hard to support men’s mental health.

As such these are pay as you feel events with all monies raised split between the two charities via our Give as You live fundraising page. http://tinyurl.com/2m7spcmx
